The staff at Discover Kodiak is often asked about outdoor recreational activities in which everyone can participate and explore the island of Kodiak.  Sea kayaking is a great idea for explorers of all activity levels, ages, and experience.  Experienced guides are happy to paddle at your pace!  No previous experience or gear is necessary.

Sea kayaking offers paddlers a tranquil way to explore the island of Kodiak, Alaska.  While exploring, our Emerald Island’s scenery and natural wonders will take your breath away!  Above the water, paddlers often see auklets, bears, deer, dolphins, eagles, fox, porpoise, puffins, sea lions, sea otters, seals, and whales.  Below the water, paddlers can view anemones, crab, sea cucumbers, starfish, urchins, and much more!

Please call Discover Kodiak at 486-4782 or stop by the visitor’s center located at 100 Marine Way, Suite 200 to learn more about our members who can take you on a sea kayaking adventure.
