The Kodiak Fisheries Research Center (KFRC) is the primary facility for the Alaska Fisheries Science Center. The 258,000 square-foot complex include office space, conference rooms, a running seawater laboratory, conventional laboratories, a freestanding aquarium, a touch tank and so much more! The touch tank includes a comprehensive collection of common marine animals of Kodiak Island, such as crabs, snails, shrimps and different species of fish.

The KFRC is devoted to manage the preservation and enrichment of the marine environment and their resources.
