I lived in Kodiak from 92-96 and it was the great5est time of my life. Gayla pedersen, I love and miss you. Somebody better be taking good care of Kathy Roberts for me and letting Sarah Jo know how missed she is. I wish I could be there with all of you- my heart and thoughts will always be. I love you all!

I lived in Kodiak when I was much younger and I think the web site is extremely well done. I look forward to someday returning to the beautiful island before I forget everything I can still remember about it. Thank you also for the great pictures, they all brought back many wonderful memories.

I just wanted to say that I used to live in Alaska when I was 4 years old and I'm really happy I could see it on the net. I now live in Virginia and I am a freshmen at George Mason University and my girlfriend (Angela Wyman) is from Kodiak, AK and I just wanted to tell her...if she ever finds this sight that I love her very much and I'm glad she came from Kodiak to Virginia. And if she never did I wouldn't be the happiest man in the world. I LOVE YOU ANGELA.....AND I LOVE YOU ALASKA!!!

Found out yesterday that I may have an opportunity to travel to Kodiak in August. I have never been to Alaska.I am looking forward to the trip if it happens. Are the mosquitoes as big as I have been told?

I'm a sophomore in HS, born in Kodiak. I moved soon after, but I visit my family in Kodiak every summer and occasional winters. Kodiak is a beautiful area with lots of great people. Keep it that way. It's paradise

I was stationed at what was NAS Kodiak from of all day's Valentines day 1956 until Valentines day 1957. The last I heard it is now a Coast Guard station. I can tell you it was beautiful unspoiled land at that time. I am sure it has changed a lot. I would like to get in touch with some one that would take a lot of pictures or make a video for me of the area. Again for you that live there take care of it.

Wife & I will be in Kodiak the first week of August. We want to visit Port Lions, possibly Port Larsen and other villages. We want to get there by water. Anyone have any ideas how we can get there other than charter tourist boats or the State Ferry? Our goal is to just see the country. We will stay over night in the villages we stay at. Thanks for your help!! Gary & Marianne.

We volunteered for 5 months in Coldfoot, AK and enjoyed the northern parts of AK. Now we plan on touring the southern parts of AK and of course Kodiak is at the top of our list. We have flight reservations into Anchorage this fall. We will rent a car and tour where the car can take us then take the ferry where it wont. We are very much looking forward to visiting Kodiak. Jim
